Privacy Policy

devys is a marketplace where people sell the apps they build. This explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to get your data removed. We keep it to what running the marketplace actually needs — we don't sell your personal data.

What we collect

• Account details — the email, display name and username you sign up with, and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile info Google shares: your email and name.
• Content you create — listings, posts, comments, messages, reviews, and any files or images you upload.
• Purchase & sales records — what you bought or sold, and the Stripe reference for the transaction (not your card details).
• Usage data — your IP address, browser/device type, and pages viewed, collected through standard logs and analytics to keep the service secure and to improve it.

How we use it

• To run your account, your store, and the buying/selling experience.
• To process payments and pay sellers (through Stripe).
• To send transactional email — email verification, password resets, and notifications about apps you own (for example, when a seller ships an update). Payment receipts come from Stripe.
• To keep the platform safe: preventing fraud, abuse, and spam, and enforcing our terms.
• To understand usage in aggregate and improve the product.

Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Card and bank details are entered directly with Stripe and handled under Stripe's privacy policy — devys never receives or stores your full card number or bank credentials. Sellers who take payouts complete Stripe's own onboarding, and their payout details live with Stripe.

Cookies & analytics

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in — it can't be turned off without breaking login. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; it sets its own cookies and collects usage data as described in Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data or share it for advertising. We share only with the service providers that make devys work, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payments and seller payouts.
• Google — optional "Sign in with Google," and analytics.
• Cloudflare R2 — storage for uploaded app files (private) and images/video (served from our CDN), plus encrypted database backups.
• Zoho — delivers our transactional email.
• Render — hosting; processes requests and server logs.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the platform.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account, email hello@devysmarket.com and we'll remove your account, profile and listings — normally within 30 days. Two honest caveats: we keep records we're legally required to keep (for example, transaction records for tax and accounting), and if you sold an app, anyone who already bought it keeps access to their copy. Files a buyer has already downloaded live on their own device and can't be recalled.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

devys isn't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use devys after a change means you accept the updated policy.
