Help & FAQ

devys is a social marketplace for the apps, agents, and games people build. Here's how it works — and where to go when you need a hand.

Getting started

What is devys?

Part Instagram, part app store. Builders open a free storefront, share what they're making, and sell small apps, agents, tools, and games. Buyers browse, follow builders, and grab things that are scanned, checked, and proven to run before they ever go live.

Is it free to join?

Yes. Signing up and opening a store are free. devys only takes a fee when you actually make a sale — 15% (minimum $0.50) per paid sale. Free apps cost you nothing.

Buying

How do I get an app I bought?

Everything you buy lands in your Library. From there you can download the files, and for web apps you can run it right in the browser in a secure sandbox — no install needed.

Is it safe to download things here?

Every app is deep-scanned for malware and executables, checked that it's complete, and actually launched in a sandbox to confirm it runs — all before a seller can publish it. Nothing goes up until it passes.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within the rules on our refund policy page. In short: you can refund a paid item yourself before you download it; once downloaded, message the seller to sort it out.

Ratings & reviews

How do I review something?

Open the app's page and tap Write a review next to Reviews — or find it in your Library and tap Review. Pick 1–5 stars, add a note if you want, and post. You can only review apps you actually own, so every rating comes from a real buyer.

Can I change my review?

Yes, any time. Go back to the same app and the button reads Edit your review, with your stars and text already filled in. Editing replaces your original — you never end up with two reviews on the same app.

Where do ratings show up?

On the app itself (its star rating and review count), and on the builder's profile. Their Rating is the average across everything they've published, and the Reviews section on their profile shows what people actually said and which build they said it about.

How is a builder's rating worked out?

It's the average of the reviews left on their builds — there's no separate store score to game. Reviews on anything removed or taken down stop counting, so a rating always reflects what that builder is actually offering right now.

Can I reply to a review of my app?

Yes. On your own app, every review has a Reply button — your answer appears publicly right underneath it, labelled as the seller. It's the best way to say "that's fixed in the new version" or ask what went wrong, and everyone reading that review sees your side too. You can edit your reply later, or clear it to remove it.

Someone left an unfair review — what can I do?

Start by replying to it — a calm answer, or a fix, does more for the next buyer than a deleted review would. Reviews are the buyer's own words, so we don't edit or remove them on request. If one breaks the rules — abuse, spam, or anything not family-friendly — tap the flag icon to report it, or email hello@devysmarket.com and we'll take a look.

Selling & payouts

How do I sell something?

Tap New drop → Sell it, give it a name and price, and upload your app (a .zip or a single .html). It's scanned, checked, and test-run automatically — pass all three and it publishes.

How do I get paid?

Set up payouts once in My Store → Set up payouts (powered by Stripe). After that, when someone buys your app, Stripe deposits your share straight to your bank automatically — you don't manage withdrawals, and devys never touches your bank details.

Where do I see who bought my apps?

My Store → Sales (or tap the sales/revenue stat) shows every order — who, what, when, and how much.
